The current music industry and music listening audience are in need of four qualities they haven’t heard in a very long time: talent, depth, craft, and heart. These four ingredients combined make star quality. And if there is a rare talent that embodies these today, it would be CHRISTOF.

BACKGROUND

This talented powerhouse hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota and blends passion, soul and honest lyricism. With roots in gospel, pop, alternative rock, jazz and classical, his music reflects a deep connection to storytelling and sound. CHRISTOF’s formative training was in both classical piano and classical singing, and in gospel music as a member of the TCC Gospel Choir which he performed with at various live venues and theaters, such as O’Shaughnessy Hall. He later attended college at McNally Smith in Saint Paul, earning his degree in Vocal Performance, and then continuing his education at Indiana University Music School. Possessing an outstanding range of over three octaves and a powerful classically trained voice, he plays the piano composing rich harmonies, with lyrics that are both sophisticated and sincere. Being already a published poet at the tender age of sixteen, and then later becoming a professional print model with great live stage presence, CHRISTOF takes a place few can fill.

INSPIRATION

Influenced by various artists and bands, CHRISTOF’s songwriting might be reminiscent of Five For Fighting with dashes of Joni Mitchell and The Beatles. His vocal range embodies the soulful lyrical phrasing of Whitney Houston and the classic tone and style of Michael Bublé and jazz legend, Sarah Vaughan. With his gospel music roots, he delivers fiery vocals likened to the iconic dance music diva, Martha Wash, on his fresh new dance remixes of original songs with which DJ’s set the dance club floors ablaze. CHRISTOF is a strong musician, typically arranging his own orchestrations of highly melodic original compositions.

Few new music artists receive the acclaim of a living legend in their industry. Pop diva, Céline Dion, when first hearing his powerful voice from the back of Caesars Palace at her concert in Las Vegas, invited him up to perform with her. Spontaneously, he sang to her a song that he had composed for her, and Céline insisted he finish singing the entire song during her stage concert. Céline then requested a copy of his song! Celine said she loved his stage presence, powerful voice, music and lyrics. The video of CHRISTOF and Celine on stage together went viral on YouTube and “STILL” garners more attention each week.

TOFFEES

His attitude towards music is to uplift, writing songs of integrity to light the dark corners of the world with inspirations led by his heart. “Courage,” he says, “is the greatest thing to demonstrate, and the most worthwhile thing to pass on.” Being a devout environmentalist, CHRISTOF proudly offers all green products—hence the emerald green color throughout his marketing and logo. This includes his foods and Toffee candy for all his exclusive “STAR TOFFEE” fans. He is also supportive of the global effort to increase a more plant-based diet worldwide, and reforestation in order to secure our planets bright future. CHRISTOF, affectionately named his fans “TOFFEES” saying that, like the classic candy, his fans appreciate his music, which is “rich and sweet.”

DISCOGRAPHY

His last single production “Mama” included Tori Amos’s bassist and guitarist, Jon Evans, and Amos’s music has influenced CHRISTOF’s artistry as well. The single is a heartfelt story, autobiographically written, with lyrics that confess the struggles of family strife with his father and the resolution that follows in their relationship. Prior to that release, CHRISTOF produced the very song that he composed and sang live to Céline Dion, entitled “STILL” and it is available now on the Music Tab for all to enjoy, commemorating that stellar moment in his career.

FUTURE

CHRISTOF is now working on new releases, and his next hot single delivers a cutting edge hit-worthy breakup tune, reminiscent of “Cher’s BELIEVE.” This hot dance remix, produced by EMI signed artist, Toby Farrugia, promises to deliver with gusto! “TOFFEE” fans are excited to hear new music that will be nothing short of glorious. CHRISTOF and his interactive team plan to submit the single for consideration of a Grammy nomination following its upcoming release.
